Heather has been studying, teaching and doing art since her childhood. She says of her art:
My art is a rhythmic communication of lines, shapes, and colors that reflects my life experiences and interactions with others. Through my art, I create a dialogue with the world that combines the real world with my imagination. While my creations on wood and canvas have deep meaning to me, I feel it is important that my art present itself in an uncomplicated way. That it be simply stated- with defined use of line, space, and color- the basic elements of visual communication.
Heather teaches in and out of town, at the Gulf Coast Community College Encore program, and here at ArtCoop. Come by Friday afternoons from four to six to work with her at Open Studio.
